Allie and Scott's Wedding at River Farm

We would like to express our thanks to Allie, Scott and their amazing family and friends for a wonderful, fun filled, stunningly beautiful weekend.
There was so much about this weekend which was new and yet so much that was historic and traditional.   Celebrating a wedding over a few days is a tradition that goes back centuries in many cultures.  The beautiful ceremony took place at the historic River Farm overlooking the Potomac.

River Farm is the northernmost of George Washington's five farms.  The Chuppah stood outdoors under the oldest tree standing at  River Farm, an immense Osage orange.  This Osage is believed to have been a gift from Thomas Jefferson to the Washington family and is largest of its kind in the United States.   It provided wonderful shade and an amazing sense of serenity and history.

The reception returned to River Farm the following day in completely relaxed, fun filled day.  Allie and Scott strolled the beautiful gardens,  the trail to the Potomac and then danced and celebrated to the very  last moment when they escaped through bubbles.
Our thanks to all who worked so hard to make this day absolutely beautiful and fun filled.
