Rachel in the Cherry Blossom Glass at the Park Hyatt
.
Eli, who prefers no fuss, unpretentious portraits totally glowed from their first meeting onward. There are some days when I am sorry that people cannot see what I see through the lens. Eli just beamed all day.
My favorite moment of the day.... the Badeken. In this tradition the groom is given a moment to lift the brides veil to ensure the bride he is marrying is the right bride. The practice of the groom uncovering the veil is based upon the story in which Jacob married Leah because her face was veiled, when he wanted to marry Rachel.
In this case the Rabbi noted that Eli got his Rachel. Eli did not miss a beat... and conferred with a tiny print in his pocket to ensure this Rachel was, in fact, his Rachel. The smile never left his face all day long.
