Matthew & Christopher at Meridian House

It was the warmth of the day which brought out the amazing smell of the gardenias on the wedding party's jackets

The day was filled with priceless quiet moments

vows in the garden...

a few moments to talk.....

Uniqueka & Markeycion at the Omni Shoreham

Uniqueka and Markeycion's smiles light up a room no matter where they are. What a fun day, from the antics of a tiny flower girl escaping to the balcony and playing peekaboo with her dress, to groomsmen posing their argyle socks and dancing to the last moment of the day.

Most romantic moment.... the saphire gift earrings from Markeycion as they traveled from the guys room to the girls room for Uniqueka to wear. The bottom of her shoes had the bling words "I do".

The Omni Shoreham is a dream setting with a garden and grand stone staircases that look like a European castle or a Hollywood set from the 40's. It is amazing that this huge stunning garden is in the middle of DC.

Uniqueka and Markeycion married at the Gazebo decorated with hanging baskets. It was unbelievably beautiful.  Uniqueka coming down the stone steps with her dad is one of those images you remember for a lifetime.

Elizabeth from Cherry Blossom weddings made the day happen from stunning flowers everywhere to meticulous attention to detail in the beautiful reception room, uplit with floor lights including hints of the purple in Uniquekas bouquet.

Our thanks to Elizabeth from Cherry Blossom Events and the Omni Shoreham staff for making this day seem so easy and for the wonderful food and impeccable service.

Our love and thanks to Uniqueka and Markeycion and their families for making this day an incredible joy for everyone, all day long.

Rachel and Eli - Park Hyatt Hotel, Washington DC

The start of this day left me in awe. Rachel who truly prefers a simple, no makeup lifestyle transformed into the most amazing swan I have ever seen. Rachel's gown had an incredibly unusual, architectural offset bustle. It was absolutely gorgeous.

.

Eli, who prefers no fuss, unpretentious portraits totally glowed from their first meeting onward. There are some days when I am sorry that people cannot see what I see through the lens. Eli just beamed all day.

My favorite moment of the day.... the Badeken. In this tradition the groom is given a moment to lift the brides veil to ensure the bride he is marrying is the right bride. The practice of the groom uncovering the veil is based upon the story in which Jacob married Leah because her face was veiled, when he wanted to marry Rachel.

In this case the Rabbi noted that Eli got his Rachel. Eli did not miss a beat... and conferred with a tiny print in his pocket to ensure this Rachel was, in fact, his Rachel. The smile never left his face all day long.

Kim & Jake's Wedding at the Mandarin Oriental

Amazing really is the most appropriate word.  Our special thanks to Kim and Jake for sharing so much of their wonderful day,  great sense of humor and endless fun.

Kim and Jake actually had fun and engaged everyone around them in the fun all day long. How many people walk their dog down the aisle at a five star hotel?? How many dogs know precisely how to strike a perfect pose... every single time. Floored me!

This wedding genuinely was visual heaven. Fabric, floor to the ceiling created the most amazing portal leading into the ceremony room. The chuppah was an interwoven set of branches bent into the most beautiful arches with tea candles hanging everywhere.

This is the most beautiful I have ever seen the Mandarin. Special Kudos and thanks to Danielle at EVOKE who really brought Kim and Jakes vision to life. The flowers almost lead you through the day. They were simple, stunning and extraordinary in quality. Distinctive Floral Design :) Alison de Wit.

The party... unbelievable. Kim and Jake never left the dance floor.

Amaretto and Chris Grasso kept everyone on their feet all evening. It is the first time I have ever seen a couple raised in the air on shoulders... twice :)

To Kim and Jake with our love and thanks. We all want to do your 25th!
