We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Emily, Matthew and their wonderful families for sharing their amazing wedding day. A truly warm, loving, and relaxed wedding is a gift to everyone who attends.
Emily celebrated her Bat Mitzvah at the Willard so there was a strong sense of comfort and familiarity as Emily and Matt prepared for their day. Emily's elegant, shirred satin gown with an offset bustle was a perfect match to the amazing Willard architecture.
So often humor defines a wedding. A gleeful three year old flower girl, Elle, bounced down the aisle and tossed rose petals backward over her head to a cooing, delighted audience. Matt and the groomsmen donned matching polka dot socks which they proudly lifted a pant leg to share during traditional portraits.
For those of us who love weddings and historic architecture, the Willard is one of the most beautiful venues in the world. The stunning Chuppah and ceremony in the Crystal Ballroom transitioned almost miraculously during the cocktail hour to a reception room filled with hydrangea, calla lilies and glittering tea candles. This day could not have been more beautiful.
Congratulations Emily and Matthew! Thank you for a wonderful day.
