Katherine & Andrew

Our heartfelt thanks to Kat and Andrew for sharing their amazing day with us.

There are some days in which each detail is so beautiful that seeing the images as a set is a fresh experience of just how stunning the day really was.

Kat and Andrew brought amazing serenity and sweetness to their day.   Their wedding party was hysterical, gleeful and very funny.    I have never seen a best man break dance and a maid of honor do a bouquet victory spin with the flowers.   The smiles lasted all day long.

During the reception, Kat changed gowns into a beautiful traditional Vietnamese wedding dress - Ao Dai means “long dress" comprised of  panels of silky, flowing fabric, layered over loose-fitting silk trousers.   A young brides gown is often bright festive colors embroidered with gold.  This is such a joy to photograph.

Our special thanks to the amazing Michael Deltette who always makes beautiful, complex days seem so fun easy and effortless.    Washington DC Weddings- Washington DC Wedding Reception- Park Hyatt Washington

The Evolution of the Wedding Shoe - 2012

From Jimmy Chou "shoes on the edge" to Kate Spade "bold but feminine" the old rules are gone.

It has been a wonderful year for photographing wedding shoes.

Documenting plain wedding pumps used to be a chore...
today shoes are challenging fine art

I few suggestions from your photographer :)

OK .... definitely wear the stilettos if you want.

How often do we get to do this but.... carry the practical backup.

If you want to climb the steps of the Jefferson carry your Kate Spades in your bag

don a bling flip flop for the Memorial tour

If you are outdoors.... wear whatever works.   Bling sneakers can be brilliant.

If your great aunt tells you hot pink is wrong ... :)

Buy them :) and then tell him about the amazing hot pink shoes ...

My thanks to Carrie, both Amy's, Kim, Kate and Krystal for sharing these shoe images.

If you would like to know about a particular shoe let me know.
Our brides are always willing to share their wisdom.
